Matchday 5 of the Champions League is in the books with Leicester, Arsenal and City moving on to the last 16. The Spurs were eliminated and can now direct their efforts to the Premier League.
Manchester United and Southampton are in action today in the Europa League but it is too early to report any results. Monitor the news reports and Manager’s pressers for information on who may have suffered injuries or will be rested this weekend. Continue reading →
There has been a lot of talk over the International break in regard to the status of some of the elite players’ health. I do not know whether any of them will be rested this weekend, but Sanchez played 84 minutes and scored 2 goals and Hazard played 73 minutes before limping off. Costa appears to have been kept out of play with a groin pull. I imagine that you will have to monitor the Friday pressers to see what the manager’s take will be on their starting XI’s. As everyone agrees, you can never have enough data. Continue reading →
